Frequently Asked Questions 🤔

What makes your style of advising and coaching different?

I’m not a traditional business coach. My process is equal parts business laboratory, mirror, and… grimoire 😏

Look, reinventions are messy! It can’t be all about the numbers at the beginning of this process. There is no way to avoid going inward during a re-invention. But in that process of sitting with the stuff that makes you uncomfortable? That’s when all the generative, juicy AF transformation stuff happens.

My clients consistently tell me they came for the product clarity but were transformed by the emotional grounding and self-attunement that comes from working with me. I’m here to help you orient what you’re building in this next chapter with who you’re in the process of becoming.

What’s your philosophy on sales?

A purchase is a vote for the world your customer wishes to inhabit.

When you understand what worries whisper in your customer's mind at 3AM, you don't just open up a path to a sale. You create resonance, a path to possibility, and a feeling of belonging and transformation. And when you lean into this, you create brand staying power, which I like to call your “identity capital”.

What beliefs underpin your business?

First of all, I love when I get asked this question 👩🏻‍🍳 💋 Beliefs form the foundation of everything in small business (IMHO).

  1. I believe creative range isn’t a liability. It’s a superpower!

  2. I believe your ideas—and the “weird” way your process stuff—are your greatest assets and differentiators.

  3. Oh, and those cobbled together life experiences that feels unrelated? I believe there’s often a thread there, a connective tissue, that is a bridge to where you are today and your biggest opportunities yet!

  4. And last but certainly not least, I believe that the small businesses that stick in our minds are successful because they deeply listen—to themselves and their dream clients.

What is a portfolio career?

A portfolio career is a way of working that combines multiple income streams. Instead of relying on a single job, you build a body of work across several aligned opportunities that include paid and unpaid work—such as freelance projects, coaching, content creation, digital products, and part-time roles.

What’s the difference between a portfolio career and a side hustle?

A side hustle is usually a single additional income stream done alongside a main job. A portfolio career is broader—it’s a long-term strategy that combines multiple income streams and aligns with your life, values, and long-term goals.

How do I know what to include in my portfolio career?

Start with what you already know and enjoy—skills, experiences, and ideas that energize you. From there, test different offers, look for market demand, and layer income streams based on what gains traction and feels aligned.

How much time do I need to build my portfolio career?

This really depends on your own goals for your career. No two portfolio careerists have the same structure, actually.

Is a portfolio career right for me?

Portfolio careers work well for people who crave variety, want to future-proof their income, and want more freedom and flexibility than traditional careers paths. If you're multi-passionate in a season of transition, this model is a great option.
