Why SALONS?

The salons of the 1700s were gathering spaces for writers, artists, and thinkers to exchange radical ideas that shaped public opinion about society. They eventually became the unofficial engine of what we now known as the Enlightenment.

I believe we are in a similar moment of transformation in human history. The Portfolio Career Lab creates in-person and virtual space for people to share stories, exchange ideas, and imagine what work could look like if it were built for humans, not hierarchies.
